Teasing Eurovision fans, Finland's broadcaster YLE has begun to release clues to this years participants in UMK.

YLE have announced that seven acts that will participate in UMK 2023 and these will be confirmed on 11th January.
The official songs from each artist will be released on across several days starting the 12th January until the 20th January 2023.
Social media and other news platform have been discussing rumours that Robin Packalen, Portion Boys and Joalin Loukamaa will be some of those announced next week as to be participating in the national selection competition.
The previous winner of Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (UMK) and therefore the representative for Finland at Eurovision 2022 was The Rasmus with the song “Jezebel” which ended up scoring 38 points finishing in 21th place.
The Grand Final of UMK 2023 will take place on the 25th February in Logomo
