Germany: National final set for March 3rd

'Unser Lied für Liverpool', the national final programme for Germany will take place on Friday, 3rd March at 22:20 (CET)

Live from the MMC Studios in Cologne, the show will be hosted by performer and presenter Barbara Schöneberger. A special pre-show will start an hour before at 21:20 (CET) featuring backstage footage also available via TikTok.

Whilst the number of acts competing in the competition is yet unknown, it is believed that a total of nine entries will compete.

One of those will be selected via TikTok selection. The TikTok wildcard will be selected by a public vote, running from January 27th until February 3rd. The winner of this will be revealed live in the first edition of a new online show called Alles Eurovision hosted by Alina Stiegler and Stefan Spiegel on February 4th at 18:00 (CET). This will also be broadcast live on eurovision.de.

The rest of the artists will be chosen by a special team of professionals from the music industry, the German Eurovision delegation, the international Eurovision community and ARD’s pop radio stations.

International fans will be able to watch the show online via eurovision.de and the ARD-Mediathek platform. In addition, broadcaster NDR will provide subtitles and an audio transmission for the live broadcast, and Unser Lied für Liverpool will also be shown in German Sign Language (DGS) on eurovision.de and HbbTV.

Malik Harris represented Germany at Eurovision in 2022 with the song Rockstars. He received just 6 points in total, reaching 25th place. After having nul points from the jury votes, the entry was saved from a double nil point result after it received the six points from the audiences of Austria, Estonia and Switzerland.
