Festival di Sanremo 2023
Festival di Sanremo 2023 will be held from the 7th February to the 11th February 2023. The contest will feature twenty-five artists of which three will qualify for the contest through Sanremo Giovani. All 25 artists will be competing with songs that are not released until the night of the performances. A similar rule to that of the Eurovision Song Contest.
The fourth evening of the show will be dedicated to covers of Italian or international songs released between January 1, 1960 and December 31, 1999. The winner will go on represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 if they accept the offer to do so.
Two of Italy’s most popular young artists, Mahmood and BLANCO, represented the nation in their home country in Turin in 2022 and came 6th overall with the song "Brividi".
