Latvia: Supernova entries revealed

Latvia is the next country to reveal their hopefuls for Eurovision 2023.

LTV, the Latvian national broadcaster, has revealed the entries for Supernova 2023.

The national selection shows will be held under the Supernova brand for the eighth time and once again be hosted by Ketija Šēnberga and Lauris Reiniks. Lauris represented Latvia in Riga in 2003 as part of F.L.Y. with “Hello From Mars”. He's also been the spokesperson for nation at the 2000 and 2004 contests. He will host Supernova for the second year in a row.

121 submissions were entered and it has been whittled down to 15 songs for the show. The entries were chosen by members selected by LTV, which included representatives of the Latvian music, events and television industry, as well as foreign professionals.

  • Adriana Miglāne – “Like I Wanna”

  • Alise Haijima – “Tricky”

  • Artūrs Hatti – “Love Vibes”

  • Avéi – “Let Me Go”

  • Inspo – “Sway”

  • Justs – “Stranger”

  • Katrine Miller – “Beaten Down”

  • Luīze – “You To Hold Me”

  • Markus Riva – “Forever”

  • Patrisha – “Hush”

  • Raum – “Fake Love”

  • Saule – “Finally Happy”

  • Sudden Lights – “Aijā”

  • Toms Kalderauskis – “When It All Falls”

Justs represented Latvia in Eurovision back in 2016 with the song “Heartbeat”.

Supernova 2023 will have a Semi-Final on February 4 and a Grand Final on February 11. A combination of both jury and public voting will determine the result.
