Tvorchi took the crown at this years Ukrainian national final and are heading to Liverpool in 2023, but who are they?

As we all know, it is standard practice that the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest gets to host the competition the following year, but sadly due to the on-going war with Russia, the United Kingdom has stepped up to support Ukraine produce a unique show next May in Liverpool.
That being said, all eyes were tuned to the national final show Vidbir in Ukraine and duo Tvorchi stormed the results board taking victory by a single point with their entry "Heart of Steel" in one of the closest contents for years.
But, who exactly are Tvorchi and how did they come to be?
Having formed back in 2018, Tvorchi consists of vocalist Jeffery Kenny and producer Andrii Hutsuliak. According to the duo, in a chance passing, when Hutsuliak tapped Kenny on the shoulder and asked him how good his English was. There, the journey began as they discussed their love of music and their collaboration begun.
They've released four studio albums to date including; The Parts (2018), Disco Lights (2019), 13 Waves (2020) and ROAD (2021). They've also won plenty of local awards, including Ukraine's version of the Brit Awards known as the YUNAs.
Speaking to the press, the duo discussed their Eurovision entry and the inspiration behind it including the ongoing war in Ukraine, stating the song was written by the pair last spring when they witnessed events at the Azovstal steel plant in Mariupol.
“We came across a video of the defenders of Azovstal,”
Hutsuliak has explained of what inspired the track.
“When I looked into their eyes, I saw fire, strength and steadfastness. I couldn’t imagine how hard it was, but what I saw gave me goosebumps. And we transferred those emotions to this song.”
They also stated that the song is designed as a track of defiance, not just for those suffering in wartime, but also for everyone who’s struggling and keeps moving forward.
