Albania: Albina & Familja Kelmendi chosen as the Albanian entry for Liverpool 2023

Albania has selected its next Eurovision entry on Thursday 22nd December 2022 through RTSH's Festivali i Këngës 61.



21 hopefuls competed in the Albanian national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 with Albina & Familja Kelmendi's entry emerging as the televiewers' choice of the night.

The winning entry Duje will now represent Albania in Liverpool in May 2023.

Eurovision History: Albania


Albania first participated in the contest in 2004. It has yet to win the competition. The country's best result in the contest until 2012 when Rona Nishliu placed 5th. Every year, Festivali i Këngës is used as the Albanian Eurovision Song Contest national selection process. The show has been running since 1962. Albania has also participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest eight times since 2012.
