Spain: Benidorm Fest 2023 entries published


Fresh from their recent success at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with Chanel's SloMo, Spain has all eyes set on its national selection for 2023. The format will remain the same with the now ever so popular, Benidorm Fest.


The national selection will be held on three nights. The two semifinals will be held on the 30th January and 2nd February, with the final night held on the 4th February 2023.

History: Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest


Spain is part of the BIG-5 which means that they are automatically qualified to the finals of the Eurovision Song Contest, every year. Spain participated 61 times in the Contest since the very first edition in 1961 and won it twice in 1968 (Massiel - La, la, la...) and in 1969 (Salome' - Vivo Cantando).




Chanel's SloMo in 2022 was their best result (3rd place) since their second place in 1995 (Anabel Conde - Vuelve Conmigo).
